The Australian Catholic University will be holding two panel discussions titled a Respectful Conversation on Marriage this month on its North Sydney and Melbourne campuses.

The Australian Catholic University will be holding two panel discussions titled a Respectful Conversation on Marriage this month on its North Sydney and Melbourne campuses.

Bringing together Catholic and other perspectives, panellists will explore the topic of marriage in a respectful conversation. ACU acknowledges there is a range of views on marriage in our community.

North Sydney

12 October, 6pm-7.30pm

Where: ACU North Sydney Campus, Ryan Auditorium, 40 Edward Street, North Sydney

This panel discussion will be moderated by ACU Vice Chancellor, Professor Greg Craven and will hear from:

  • Bishop Peter A. Comensoli, Bishop of Broken Bay
  • Paul Kelly, Editor at Large, The Australian
  • The Hon. Kristina Keneally, Adjunct Professor and Director for Gender Inclusion at Macquarie University and former NSW Premier
  • Tim Wilson, Australian Human Rights Commission

Melbourne

15 October, 6pm-7.30pm

Where: ACU Melbourne Campus, Phillippa Brazill Lecture Theatre, 8-18 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy

Melbourne’s panel discussion will be moderated by ACU Director of Government, Policy and Strategy Julian Leeser and will hear from:

  • Bishop Terry Curtin, Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne
  • Fr Frank Brennan SJ AO
  • Tim Wilson, Australian Human Rights Commission
  • Miranda Devine, News Limited columnist

Members of the audience will be given the opportunity to submit questions to the panel.
