You are invited to attend the first of our Bishop Vincent Presents series featuring Sr Patricia Fox NDS.

The lecture will be held on Friday 27 May at 7pm at the Bishop Bede Heather Centre, 1-5 Marion Street, Blacktown.

Bishop Vincent feels passionately about the stories and witness of colleagues in mission. This new series will feature their stories and call to action.

Our Lady of Sion Sister Patricia Fox ministered to the poor and marginalised in the Philippines for close to 30 years. In 2018, she was arrested at her convent in northeast Manila and was accused by the Filipino president of taking part in illegal political activities and of speaking out against the government.

Sr Patricia will speak about her experience in the Philippines and the stories of those she ministered to heighten awareness of brining dignity to all people. For Sr Patricia, love of God and love of neighbour go hand in hand.

Following the lecture, there will be a short response by Bishop Vincent, followed by a question and answer session and light canapes and drinks.

This lecture has strictly limited seating, so please RSVP by Friday 20 May to the Mission Enhancement Team –

Recently, Catholic Outlook published an article from the Global Sisters Report, a project of the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) about Sr Patricia Fox, her ministry in the Philippines and adjusting back to life in Australia. You can re-read the article here.
