Bishop Vincent Long OFM Conv, Bishop of Parramatta, will give an introduction to an online webinar on Migrant and Refugee Sunday.
The webinar on 27 September from 5pm will explore how the pandemic can be a time as a nation and individuals to extend grace to the most vulnerable. The expert panel will explore what this looks like within our public policy, our theology and our own actions.
The panel of speakers include Fr Frank Brennan SJ, Jesuit priest and Human Rights lawyer, Nishadh Rego, Policy Advocacy and Communications Manager from JRS Australia, and Julie Macken, Research and Project Officer from the Justice and Peace Office in the Archdiocese of Sydney, and a to-be-announced leader with lived experience.
The webinar is hosted by Jesuit Refugee Services, the Justice and Peace Office of the Archdiocese of Sydney and Nangami, the Peace and Justice Group of Our Lady of the Way Parish, North Sydney.
