World War II veteran and parishioner of St Bernadette’s Parish, Castle Hill, Dennis Davis, has celebrated his 100th birthday.
With the easing of restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Dennis was able to celebrate his centenary with his two daughters and his parish community during the 7am Mass on Sunday 14 June in Castle Hill.
Fr Fernando Montano, parish priest, presented Dennis with a Papal Blessing following Mass, which was organised by Dennis’ daughters.
Dennis, who was born in Ealing, London, in 1920, moved to Australia with his family in 1938, aged 17.
