The Diocese of Parramatta Development Fund (DDF) is delighted to support the 2022 Biennial National Deacons Conference.

The support of the DDF at this event underpins its Mission which is to provide financial services that promote the continued growth and development of a vibrant and evangelising Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta.

About the Diocesan Development Fund (DDF)

The Diocesan Development Fund was established in 1989 by the late Bishop Bede Heather to help parishes, schools, aged care facilities, religious congregations and other Catholic Church-related organisations effectively manage their financial resources to better promote the Mission of the Church.

The DDF’s core activities are the provision of loans, taking of deposits and investing in the financial markets. Since inception, the DDF has provided over $476 million in loans to finance facilities for worship, education, and other needs of the Church.

The DDF earns a surplus that is distributed annually to the Diocesan Chancery to finance the Bishop’s pastoral priorities and his ministry programmes.

The DDF is overseen by a highly-skilled Investment Advisory Committee, a sub-committee of the Diocesan Finance Council, with expertise in investing and banking that are sympathetic to the needs and Mission of the Church.

We wish all the participants a blessed and inspired revitalisation of our Church Mission.
