World Day of Migrants & Refugees: 29 September

This Sunday, Catholics around the world celebrate the annual World Day of Migrants & Refugees (WDMR). The theme chosen by Pope Francis this year is “God Walks with His People”. The Church throughout the world walks with the most vulnerable, with those in whom she encounters the Risen One. You can access inspiring resources coming from the Vatican and the “Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office”, including a message from Pope Francis and a beautiful WDMR song, at linktr.ee/met.pje

From the Pastoral Plan 2024-2028: Behold, I Am With You Always

As the baptised People of God, we each have a personal responsibility to contribute positively to building a culture of welcome, hospitality and meaningful connection within the Church community. What are some concrete actions our faith community can take to better welcome and include all individuals, especially those who have historically felt marginalised or unwelcome? (Pg. 31-32, Pastoral Plan). Help shape a welcoming Church for all: www.parracatholic.org/synodality.
