Saturday Sessions Top 10 – Fr Tom Ryan

4 January 2021

Each week throughout 2020, parishioners in the Diocese of Parramatta were invited to watch a video and discuss their response to a number of questions as part of our popular ‘Saturday Sessions’.

Over the holiday break, we’re replaying some of the most popular videos for you to watch, then use the questions to uncover your own feelings and thoughts about the topic. Feel free to share with others too!

“The Sanctuary of Conscience” – Fr Tom Ryan

About the Presenter:

Tom Ryan is a Marist priest resident in Sydney. He has been involved in tertiary theological education and writing together with Adult Faith development for many years and in the ministry of reconciliation at St Patrick’s Church Hill Sydney.

Fr Tom attended Saturday Sessions and answered questions about his paper on The Sanctuary of Conscience. The recording is of that video conference, his presentation and his response to the questions asked.

Questions to Ponder:

  1. What do you understand about the Primacy of Conscience?
  2. What role does Conscience have in your life and faith?
  3. What can you do to inform others about the place of conscience and what the Church teaches about conscience?
  4. What are you feeling about what Fr Tom had to share?
  5. How will be continue to grow and develop our understanding of conscience?

Get ready for the 2021 series of Saturday Sessions. The schedule is available on our events calendar on www.parracatholic.org.
