In this Jubilee Year, Pope Francis encourages Catholics around the world to participate in the 24 Hours for the Lord initiative.
The initiative, organised by the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation, is held annually on the Friday and Saturday preceding the fourth Sunday of Lent. This year, it falls on 28 and 29 March 2025.
The Dicastery for Evangelization has released the 12th edition of “24 Hours for the Lord” – a Lenten publication consisting of prayer and reconciliation, which was introduced by Pope Francis. This year’s edition contains a motto inspired by the Jubilee Year: “You are my hope” (Ps. 71:5).
Around the world, events are held for the annual 24 Hours for the Lord.
Mt Schoenstatt at Mulgoa in the Diocese of Parramatta is one such location. Mt Schoenstatt will hold Adoration at the Schoenstatt Shrine on the above dates, starting with Mass at 6pm on the Friday evening and concluding with Mass at 5pm on the Saturday evening.
Schoenstatt means “beautiful place” and it is here that people from all walks of life find moments of peace and tranquility on their journey through life. They are refreshed and renewed and find the possibility to deepen their commitment to Christ. It is a place of grace and pilgrimage where love for Christ and his Mother, Mary, are deeply rooted.
In the Diocese of Parramatta, Mt Schoenstatt is one of the three official pilgrimage sites of the Jubilee year.
All are welcome to attend and are encouraged to invite friends and family along for this special reflection.
