Campion College’s annual festival, now in just its second year, exceeded expectations by welcoming hundreds of first-time visitors, families, and community members to its campus on Saturday 26 October. This growing event is quickly becoming a key date on the local calendar, offering families a full day of activities and opportunities to explore Australia’s first liberal arts college.

The festival continues to strengthen ties with the wider community, emphasising Campion’s commitment to opening its doors and creating a space for meaningful interaction. Dr. Stephen McInerney, Dean of Studies, emphasised this spirit of openness, noting, “The Campion Festival is about sharing what we do here with the community and inviting everyone to be part of the experience. It’s both a day of hospitality for our guests and an opportunity to support our students by donating all profits to the Campion College Scholarship Fund.”

Supported by local businesses and Catholic organisations, the festival offered a range of popular stalls—from Pockets of Heaven and Dolcino Desserts to Aid to the Church in Need—alongside carnival games, campus tours and other attractions.

For Campion College, the day was a resounding affirmation of its mission and a powerful testament to the community’s appreciation for a liberal arts education grounded in faith and reason.

As the college reflects on this growing tradition, it extends gratitude to all attendees, sponsors, and supporters and looks forward to opportunities to engage with the community through a full calendar of events in 2025.
