Imaginative Prayer: Contemplation in the spirit of St Ignatius of Loyola – a homegrown resource from Catholic Youth Parramatta
Your imagination is a gift from God. If you ask Him to, God will use your imagination to help you know Him more and know His plan for your life.
St Ignatius (1491-1556) discovered God’s plan for his life through imagining he was a part of the gospel stories and interacting with Jesus.
We too can experience our faith come to life through using our imaginations as we pray the form of prayer now known as “Ignatian Contemplation” or Imaginative Prayer. Let your imagination run wild with Jesus!
