With the upcoming global Synod on Synodality just weeks away, Catalyst for Renewal, in cooperation with Catholic Religious Australia, is inviting participants to a public forum entitled, ‘What does radical inclusion really mean for a modern, synodal Church?’

English priest and theologian, James Alison, will be speaking to this topic on Wednesday 27 September in The Great Hall at St Aloysius’ College, Kirribilli from 7pm to 9pm. Renowned journalist Geraldine Doogue AO will be the MC for the evening.

Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased via www.trybooking.com/CKUIH or by phoning (02) 4971 4090.

Fr Alison is known for promoting conversation and outreach in the Church on matters concerning members of the LGBTQIA+ community. He shares a vision of an inclusive, psychologically healthy Christian life that is scripturally based, theologically orthodox and ecclesially grounded.

This forum will be of interest to members of the Catholic LGBTQIA+ community, family, friends and supporters of LGBTQIA+ Catholics and everyone interested in the potential for a more synodal church to address issues of inclusion, such as the role of women and the reception of divorced and remarried Catholics.

Entry to the event can be made via the corner of Jeffreys Street and Kirribilli Avenue. Please note that there is no on-site parking at St Aloysius’ College, but there are paid public car parks available nearby.
