Women and the Australian Church (WATAC), a feminist group with Catholic roots, invites you to an evening of reflection and prayer at 7pm (AEDT) on 13 December, as we delve into the texts of Isaiah and the Gospels that accompany us during Advent. In the spirit of openness and inclusion, WATAC offers an online gathering that will foster a gentle spiritual preparation for Christmas.

As the year ends, WATAC promotes reflection and communal prayer as a pathway to renewed hope and community. This event will provide a sacred space for participants to explore the example of Mary and Isaiah and to consider ‘What is God calling us toward in this season of hope? Whose voices cry from the wilderness?’

This online spiritual gathering will use words and images to enhance our understanding and connection to the sacred texts. There will be moments of prayer, with opportunities to explore, and rest in, the rich narratives of Isaiah and the Gospels.

Andrea Dean, President of WATAC said, “The event will be hosted on Zoom, providing a safe and accessible platform for individuals across Australia to meet.”
