About the role

The Communications Team at the Diocese of Parramatta is growing! We are after a strategic Communications and Digital Manager to create, drive and execute the Communications and Digital Strategy for the Catholic Church and its agencies in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, the Communications and Digital Manager will manage a small team and is responsible for partnering with different business units and agencies across the organisation to help solve their communications needs. This role is responsible for all digital platforms including but not limited to Diocesan websites and social media and is also responsible for all brand and marketing strategies.

This role will also support the Head of Communications and Engagement on all media and issues management, stakeholder management and create compelling impactful content and communications materials.

This role is as diverse and creative as you are willing to make it. With the ability to work across a multitude of communications areas – internal and external communications, brand, creative, digital, issues and media management to name a few – this role will provide you with the ability to continue to be inspired and excited by the work as well as many ways to be professionally and personally developed.

 

About You

You have over 8 years of experience in a similar role covering traditional and digital communications, with the ability to stay abreast of trends in this space. You have demonstrated use of both mainstream and niche digital platforms and can implement successful SEO, SEM and SMM strategies. You have a strong track record of managing people and creating a great work atmosphere. You have a demonstrated understanding and preparedness to commit to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Parramatta. You have excellent stakeholder management skills, along with outstanding written and verbal skills. You develop well-thought strategies based on data and insights and execute to the highest level. Overall, you are a positive and enthusiastic communications professional, looking for the next rewarding step in your career.
