Are you passionate about mission, evangelisation and renewal? Do you enjoy being part of transformative projects and community building?

We are looking for a Lead Support to work on our Diocesan Synod 2023 for a two-year fixed term. As part of the Synod, the Diocese of Parramatta will listen, discern, and respond to the Holy Spirit through the voices of people in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.  The Lead Support will play a pivotal role in achieving this, by supporting the Lead Facilitator with coordinating the Diocese of Parramatta’s Synodal Journey over the two-year period. The Lead Support will assist with preparation, communications, event management and administrative support for the Synod.

 

About You

The ideal person will be self-motivated with a strong desire to share their own faith and encourage others to share their faith. Demonstrated experience in working in a church setting is preferable. An understanding and preparedness to commit to the ethos and values of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Parramatta is a must. It is necessary that your stakeholder management skills are at a high level, along with outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal skills. You will need to be able work with individuals in all walks of life (including clergy and religious). Excellent organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, and IT literacy is also necessary.
