Cathedral to descend into darkness and sublime music

The Choir of St Patrick's Cathedral, Parramatta will lead a liturgy of Prayer and Reflection Monday night

The Choir of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parramatta will lead a liturgy of Prayer and Reflection on the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ this Monday, based on the ancient Office of Readings (Matins) and Morning Prayer (Lauds). Features of this liturgy include the chanting of psalms and readings, with beautiful a cappella music sung by St. Patrick’s Cathedral choir. Tenebrae, a ‘Liturgy of Light & Shadows’ will feature musical works from Byrd, Tallis and Bruckner.
