As we celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost, take the time out to reflect on the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Pentecost is the celebration of the person of the Holy Spirit coming upon the first followers of Jesus, who were gathered together in the Upper Room.
From this incredible experience Peter, our first Pope, preaches his first homily to Jews and non-believers, converting thousands of them with a unified language and the words of the Old Testament.
Come, Holy Spirit,
Fill the hearts and minds of your faithful servants.
Enkindle in us the fire of your Divine Love.
Send forth your Spirit, and we shall be created.
And you shall renew the face of the Earth.
