The Parish of Baulkham Hills will celebrate its first-ever Community Fete on Sunday 21 September 2025, at the grounds of St Michael’s Primary School, Baulkham Hills.
Home to both St Michael’s Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church, along with their two parish schools, the large community of 15,000 parishioners and 1,400 school children are preparing for a day that highlights its diversity, spirit, and hospitality. The fete is being welcomed as a joyful opportunity to strengthen parish life and open wide the doors of welcome to the Hills district.

The parish priest and organisers have described the fete as “a celebration of our people and their gifts – a chance to gather in friendship, enjoy one another’s company, and give thanks for the blessings of our community.”
Funds raised through this event will be used to carry out repairs to both the Churches and the accompanying Parish Office as well as assisting those needy in the community.

The day promises plenty of colour and excitement. Children can look forward to rides and face painting, while families will be entertained by the ever-popular chocolate wheel. Music and performance will feature strongly, with various school bands and arts groups from both parish schools as well as neighbouring parish schools sharing their talents. There will also be a Dance Troupe performance and a Martial Arts performance.
Food will be another highlight, with parishioners hosting international food stalls to showcase the rich cultural tapestry of the parish. Organisers say the stalls reflect not only culinary skill but also the generosity of spirit that has shaped the life of the parish.
As this is the parish’s first fete, excitement is building across both churches and schools. The hope is that the celebration will become a cherished tradition – one that fosters deeper connections within the parish while extending a warm welcome to the broader community.
