“This block is a bricks and mortar representation of the unique talents of each individual and the strength of our Gilroy community.”
In his address to the Gilroy community, Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Executive General Manager – Mission, Mark Smith, acknowledged the passion of the school’s namesake, Cardinal Sir Norman Gilroy, who was a strong advocate for the growth of Catholic schools in Australia.
“These buildings represent another important step designed to support and enhance learning opportunities both now and into the future,” said Mark. “I have no doubt Cardinal Gilroy would be pleased to see his legacy, the school named in his honour, celebrating this milestone today.”
