Every school holidays, laughter and creativity echo across Ambrose’s 21 uniquely Catholic vacation care hubs in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains – a welcoming and vibrant program for children in Kindergarten to Year 6.

From craft and games to sport, workshops and excursions, Ambrose offers a safe, inclusive and joy-filled space for children to grow, explore and build friendships. Each day is carefully designed around fun themes that capture children’s imaginations, with activities shaped by their interests and guided by the My Time, Our Place early years learning framework.

“Services are run by trained, caring staff who understand that school holidays should be a time to recharge, play and connect in meaningful ways,” said Mabel Osei, Senior Manager of Ambrose School Age Care Services.

“Whether it’s a visit from a wildlife expert, a messy day of slime-making, or a trip out into the community, every day at Ambrose is filled with possibilities.”

Ambrose Vacation Care includes community-based activities fostering belonging, cultural appreciation, and community connection.

During this Winter vacation, services are celebrating NAIDOC Week (6–13 July) with activities that highlight indigenous culture through art workshops, nature craft, and bush tucker. One service is taking the children to visit a local aged care facility, giving them an opportunity to connect with the elderly residents, share stories, and build meaningful intergenerational relationships.

Ambrose Vacation Care welcomes all children from all walks of life. As a social enterprise of Community Ventures, a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting families within the Diocese of Parramatta, Ambrose is approved for the Child Care Subsidy, making it both inclusive and affordable.

Families can choose the service that’s most conveniently located for them, with operating hours from early morning to evening for added convenience.

Bookings for the Winter program are still open. Families can visit the website to explore service locations, view program details, and make a booking.
