Parishes and Schools: One Community in Christ

1 June 2021

Re-watch this recent Oceania webinar that highlights the essential relationships between parishes and schools.

The webinar, hosted in April, explored how a worshipping community can reach out to our school communities and how we can enable school communities to recognise that they are an important part of the parish – and that we are all part of the one community in Christ.

The keynote speakers at the Oceania webinar are Colin MacLeod and Nichii Mardon.

Colin is Director of the National Centre for Religious Studies, which is part of Te Kupenga – Catholic Leadership Institute in New Zealand. He lives in Dunedin and taught at Kavanagh College, serving in various capacities as Director of Religious Studies and Assistant Principal.

Nichii is the current Director of Catholic Education, Diocese of Port Pirie. Prior to her appointment in 2018, Nichii exercised leadership in Reception to Year 12 Catholic schools for almost 30 years.

The webinar was hosted by the Pastoral Ministry Network (formerly known as NAPPA) and supported by the Mission Planners Network of Oceania and the Diocese of Parramatta.

The video, part of the Saturday Sessions series, alongside videos and other prayer resources are available on The Well, the popular video streaming site of the Diocese of Parramatta.

The Well can be found at www.thewell.org.au
