Serving Christ’s Mission: embodying synodality

12 June 2021

In 2021, the Pastoral Planning Office has hosted Zoom sessions offering best practice in a variety of areas for parish, deanery and diocesan pastoral councils to serve Christ’s mission.

This introductory session on ‘Embodying Synodality’ explores how various councils in our Diocese can embrace synodality in where they are going and their importance in the church of today.

In July 2020, the Congregation for the Clergy wrote, “every member of the faithful is created for the building up of the whole Body, and, at the same time, the whole People of God, in the reciprocal co-responsibility of its members, participates in the mission of the Church, that is, discerning in history the signs of the presence of God and becoming witnesses of His Kingdom.”

Formations sessions are held online on the fourth Wednesdays of the month.

This video, alongside other videos and prayer resources, are available on The Well, the popular video streaming site of the Diocese of Parramatta.
