Dominican Fr. Timothy Radcliffe’s pre-Synod reflections on synodality

5 October 2023

During the 2023 pre-Synod retreat in Rome, delegates were invited to participate in a series of meditations on synodality by Dominican Fr. Timothy Radcliffe. His meditations cover topics such as hope, friendship, and the road to Emmaus, and were reported on as “placing the synodal discussion in a specifically ecclesial key“.  This valuable guidance is relevant to all Catholics and we encourage you to watch them to deepen your understanding of synodality and to pray for all delegates at the Synod on Synodality.

The first meditation, “Hoping against hope” is 30 minutes long:

The second meditation “At home in God, and God at home in us” is 27 minutes long.

The third meditation “Friendship” is 1 hour and 19 minutes long.

The fourth meditation “Way to Emmaus” is 33 minutes long.

The fifth meditation “Praise” is 1 hour and 17 minutes long.

The sixth and final meditation “God’s Mercy” is 40 minutes long.
