Faith communities are invited to a powerful evening of dialogue, food, and fellowship at the annual Tri-Diocesan Social Justice Evening tonight, Wednesday 25 June 2025, from 6-9pm at St Monica’s Parish Hall, North Parramatta.

This year’s event, hosted by the Dioceses of Parramatta and Broken Bay and the Archdiocese of Sydney, will focus on the Australian Catholic Bishops’ 2024–25 Social Justice Statement, “Truth & Peace – A Gospel Word in a Violent World.”

The evening will feature a conversation with Sr Susan Connelly rsj (Australian Catholic Social Justice Council), and Fr Patrick McInerney ssc (Columban Centre for Christian-Muslim Relations), who will explore the Gospel call to peace and truth amid the violence that scars both global conflicts and our own communities.

Sebastian Salaske-Lentern, Peace, Justice and Ecology Coordinator in the Diocese of Parramatta said, “This statement is an invitation for all of us to reflect on how we live truthfully and peaceably in the face of conflict and injustice around the world and here in our local communities.”

“The Tri-Diocesan Evening offers a rare chance to hear some of our leading Catholic voices in social justice respond with both heart and conviction.”

A free shared meal and opportunity to connect with others passionate about social justice will round out the evening.

Venue: St Monica’s Parish Hall, 8 Daking St, North Parramatta.
