On Good Friday, the youth of St Bernadette’s Catholic Church Castle Hill led a moving and reverent reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. Performed twice—once in the morning and again at midday—the youth-led devotion drew parishioners into a powerful reflection on the final hours of Jesus Christ’s life on Earth.

The 14 Stations focused on the key moments of Jesus’ Passion, inviting the congregation to not only witness the journey but to reflect on its deeper spiritual meaning. This long-standing parish tradition was honoured with heartfelt commitment by the young participants, who portrayed each station with thoughtful expression and emotion. Each scene was accompanied by a narrated accompanying message, offering a practical and personal lesson drawn from Christ’s suffering.

Following the Stations of the Cross, parishioners were invited to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation—a meaningful opportunity to confess sins and encounter God’s mercy.

This year’s reenactment served as a testament to the faith, passion and maturity of the youth of St Bernadette’s. Through their leadership, the entire parish was able to walk the path of Christ with fresh perspective, deeper reflection and renewed hope.
