Catholic Care Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains is proud to announce the rebrand of Baulkham Hills Family Day Care to Western Sydney Family Day Care, marking an exciting new chapter in the service’s history and growth.
The new name reflects the service’s expanding reach and commitment to supporting over 310 children, 270 families and over 45 educators across Western Sydney. While the name is changing, the values, quality care, and trusted relationships that families have relied upon for many years will remain at the heart of the service.
For close to 50 years, Baulkham Hills Family Day Care has provided nurturing, high-quality early childhood education and care in home-based learning environments. The transition to Western Sydney Family Day Care better represents the diverse communities and local areas the service supports today, while positioning it for future growth across the region.
Helen Emmerson, Executive Director of Catholic Care Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, said the rebrand reflects both the service’s evolution and its ongoing mission.
“This new name better captures who we are today and the communities we serve,” she said.
“While our identity is evolving, our commitment to providing safe, high-quality, child-focused care remains unchanged. Families can continue to expect the same trusted service, dedicated educators and personalised approach that have always defined us.”
Family Day Care offers a unique form of early childhood education and care, with children learning in small group settings within educators’ homes. This model provides flexible care options, strong relationships, and individualised learning experiences that support children’s development and wellbeing.
As part of Catholic Care Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Western Sydney Family Day Care continues to operate under the same approved provider, management team, policies and commitment to excellence. Existing families and educators will experience a seamless transition, with no changes to enrolments, care arrangements or service delivery.
The rebrand also strengthens the service’s connection to the broader Catholic Care network, which supports individuals, children and families throughout Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains through a wide range of community services.
“Our new name signals our vision for the future while honouring the strong foundation built over many years,” said Helen.
“We look forward to continuing to support local families and welcoming new educators and families into our community.”
