OneSydney: Together in Christ is a groundbreaking ecumenical gathering that brings together believers from more than 55 denominations at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on Sunday, 14 June 2026 for two performances at 2 PM (Matinee) and 7 PM (Evening).
For too long, the Body of Christ has been divided. Scripture reminds all Christians of both the duty and the beauty of pursuing unity so that the world would know that the Father sent His Son, Jesus.
OneSydney is a historic answer to that call. Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and Non-denominational Christians are setting aside their differences to worship together at one of the world’s most iconic stages, embodying the prayer of Jesus in John 17: “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me.”
This is the largest multi-denominational Christian gathering in a generation—uniting Catholics, Anglicans, Orthodox, Pentecostals, Baptists, Unitings, and evangelical congregations. Thousands of believers from across Sydney and beyond will gather to experience an unforgettable time of worship, prayer, and celebration of unity in Christ.
OneSydney has been inspired by the recently launched book Dear Unity authored by Australian businessman Philip Ryall who invited 30 global Christian leaders to write of their common heart for an overdue unity to become a reality in the divided body of Christ. Ryall’s vision is embodied through the Christian Alliance Council, which since 2022 has been committed to uniting over 55 churches, Christian schools, charities, and community organisations across New South Wales.
The Songwriters Behind the Movement: Ben Fielding & Reuben Morgan
At the heart of OneSydney’s theological and musical vision are Ben Fielding and Reuben Morgan—two of the world’s most prolific worship songwriters, whose collaborations have shaped congregational singing across denominations for a generation.
Fielding and Morgan co-wrote some of Christian music’s most sung anthems: Mighty to Save, Who You Say I Am, and What a Beautiful Name (winner of the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song).
In 2025, Fielding released The First Hymn with acclaimed musician Chris Tomlin—a contemporary adaptation of the Oxyrhynchus Hymn, the world’s oldest known Christian hymn with both lyrics and musical notation, dating back to the 3rd century. The journey of the song was turned into a documentary by John Dickson and his team. As a result it became the #4 most-sung song in Australia in August 2025. At OneSydney, this ancient melody—predating all denominations and even the Nicene Creed itself—will be performed alongside contemporary worship, embodying the full arc of how the body of Christ sings across centuries and traditions.

OneSydney is endorsed and attended by Archbishops, Bishops, and senior Christian leaders representing the breadth of Australian Christianity—Catholic, Anglican, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Baptist, evangelical, and independent churches. These leaders stand together not as representatives of competing institutions, but as members of one body in Christ.
The event is also attended by civic leaders who participate in their personal capacity as Christians, not as political representatives. This cross-party, cross-denominational participation underscores that unity in Christ transcends institutional, theological, and political boundaries.
